Greetings to all students and their families to Kapiti Primary School. Creating life-long, self directed learners is a key goal of our teaching staff. At Kapiti Primary School we support children to grow socially, academically and culturally.
Kapiti Primary has 235 students and this allows our staff to know all our learners. We pride ourselves on knowing our families and being able to understand their needs. Having a smaller student population allows our staff to excel in this. As Principal of the school I have a strong believe that a genuine partnership between home and school is beneficial for everyone and at Kapiti Primary School we excel in this area.
Kapiti Primary offers a range of learning activities for students to participate in such as kapa haka, music, swimming, camps, sports teams, sing and dance squads.
Our staff recognise the importance of effective learning programmes and teach to the individual learning needs of their students. Our Kapiti curriculum is designed to be a meaningful learning experience for our children so they can move on to college confident and prepared. We promote the values of responsibility, excellence, creativity, respect and learning and we expect children to display these values in all areas of their school life.
