OUR PTA Members
Chairperson: My name is Sarah-Jane Church. I have two sons, Joe in Rm 5 and Jackson in Rm 1. I am from Wellington where I grew up on a golf course and spent many years involved in organising children’s golf activities and running junior golf tournaments. My interest with children led me to train as a nanny and I have had many great experiences with kids over the past 13 years. I now love living on the Kapiti Coast and enjoy being part of a great team on the PTA.
I am Emily Lester, the new Secretary for the PTA. I have two boys in the junior school. I enjoy going to Zumba and spending time with my family. I also work from home for a recruitment company and help with my husband’s business too.
Treasurer: My name is Kirsten Johnson, I'm 25 years old, married, and have three kids, Zoe aged eight (rm 6), Nico aged six (rm 3), and Lockie aged 2, the little boy constantly running manically around the playground. When I'm not feeding my Trademe and Facebook addiction, I like to shop for bargains and take the kids on adventures. I am from Auckland but moved to the Kapiti Coast 6 yrs ago to raise my family.
Grants Officer: Gill Neave has two children and they attend our school. Gill and her husband Jeff have been very supportive of our fundraising ventures, particularly the chocolate and lolly sales! We wouldn’t be surprised to hear that Jeff’s work colleagues are considerably wider than they were!!!
Information Officer: TBC
Monique Howell has five children, two are currently attending Kapiti Primary School and two attended before they went to college. She has had an association with the school for the last 10 years, helping with costumes for Art Splash and coaching netball. Monique is also a hairdresser working from home.
Abbie Stevens has 6 children and all attended Kapiti Primary School, two are still here and the other four have gone onto college. She is a Zumba instructor and is presently setting up after school classes in the school hall.
This is Linda Rosson’s fourth year as a teacher aide at our school. Linda volunteered to be the staff representative on the PTA. Linda has two boys, one at college and one at primary school.
Tamara Bowker was a new parent to our school at the beginning of the year. She is studying a Bachelor of Social Work and has Shannon who is in Room 1. Hopefully Tamara will find joining the PTA a great way to get to know some parents at our school.
